| Question: | I own a 93Hyundai Elantra GLS/1.8 Mitsubishi Engine.Yesterday I shut off the running car,it would not start again.I checked to see if there was spark, none to be found. Is it the ignition coil,or should I do some other tests? This car was running great,no indications of hesitation or problematic symtems. Please advise ASAP. Thanks for your time,,Alonzo |
| Answer: | Alonzo, I'm not sure if that car uses a straight ignition coil pack, or a distributor. My guess would be a distributor. Check the distributor first, including the spark plug wires. Verifiy the spark plugs are all in good shape as well. Also, check your alternator. It's possible a fuse was blown, or the alternator has shorted and now has a bad ground connection. All are possibilites for the causing the problem you described. Good luck! |
