| Answer: | Matt, Since I mainly just answer Mitsubishi questions, my answer to your Nissan question will just be general since I'm not as familiar with their engines. You may want to ask the Nissan Expert for further explainations. I do know that the '86 300ZX turbo had a number of recalls; 10 Safety Recalls and 2 General recalls to be exact. Most dealt with components of the fuel injectors, so it's good you got that resolved. Because your turbo is really only functional due to air flow, than
that means either there is a vacuum/air leak somewhere in the system.
Or, in your case, the new fuel injectors they installed may not be
providing as much fuel as your original ones. If your car's computer
see that there is less fuel, it will limit air flow. Thus, your turbo
boost will be reduced. And, starting will will be more difficult
is the engine is not getting fuel quick enough. The best advise I
could give you is to take your car back to where you had the fuel
injector replacement performed, and get them to check the new injectors
they installed. It's possible they put in the wrong ones. |
