| Question: |
1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV 2WD 3.0 Liter My air conditioning is not working at all. I bought a gauge and tried to add refrigerant myself but it didn't fix the problem. I can't see any visible leaks or cracks in the hoses, is it difficult to check the condenser myself and should I just take it in and let a pro look at it? |
| Answer: | Catherine, The only thing you may notice as leaking would be the oil used in the a/c system. When condensers start leaking, the oil usually leaks out as well and coats the condenser with oil. So if you notice oil on your condenser, there's a good chance there's a leak. I'd recommend taking your car to a professional, as they will have equipment that can test your a/c system and determine where the leaks are. Good luck! |
