| Answer: | Oleg, I don't know the specification for the Montero. A service manual should be used to know the proper setting. But typically, the timing on the #1 cylinder should be set to between 5-10 degrees BTDC. But if you are planning on removing/replacing the timing belt, you need to set the #1 cylinder to Top Dead Center before hand. Good luck! |
