I have a 88 mitsubishi montero that is not running at this time. I want to rent a car tolly and want to know will it be ok to tow the truck with the rear on the ground in N? I will be traveling about 50 miles away. Thanx |
| Answer: | Shelton, For any 4WD vehicle, the only safe way to tow it is with all 4 wheels off the ground. Else, you could ruin the differential and/or transfer case, even when in N. There are rental places that do offer full-vehicle dollies that will allow you transport your Montero with all 4 wheels off the ground. I'd recommend you take that route than risk causing more problems with your car. Good luck! |
