| Subject: | temperature display |
| Question: | 2002 Montero Limited. The outside temperature no longer appears in the display, instead three dashes appear (- - -). Also, the set temperature for the interior no longer displays when the A/C is placed in auto mode or manual. The owner's manual does not address this. Is it something I can correct or is it a Dealer repair? |
| Answer: | Gene, This sounds like you have defective temperature sensor. It may even a faulty computer. This is not something you can fix yourself. Take this to your local dealership. Your Montero came with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Unless you've driven more than 36,000 miles in the past year, you should be able to get this fixed for free from your dealership. Good luck! |
