I have a 1994 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 2WD pickup with a manual transmission. It Idles extremely rough when first started. It gets a little better after warming up, but not much. I have changed Plugs,plug wires,distributor cap and rotor,Coolant temp sensor and thermostat. I also cleaned the throttle body and checked the IAT which seems to be ok. The truck runs great on the freeway with no miss that I can detect. Any suggestions. Thanks, |
| Answer: | Dave, Many of the early 90's Mitsubishi has faulty ECUs. You may want to pull the computer and inspect it. You can read this article for more information: http://www.90gsx.com/eclipse/cap/caps.htm If you see the capacitors are leaking, that could be causing your problem.
But you may want to inspect your fuel pump and replace your fuel filter.
Check and clean your EGR valve and replace your PCV valve. |
