Subject: coil won't fire
Question:

I have a 1991 mighty max pickup, with 2.4 litere
four cylinder engine. It will not fire the coil.
It has run for some time, but now it will crank over but will not fire. help.

If you're not even getting fire to the coil, you may be having a problem with your car's computer. Read this article for further information:

Inspect your ECU before spending time and money on expensive ignition parts. If the ECU turns out to be fine, have your timing checked. Your timing may be off due to a slipped timing belt or broken distributor.
