Followup To Finding the connector Question - O.K. I e-mailed the diagrams in the book to you and hope your able to light up my dumb mistake, but if it don't work I'm off to the yard to get another motor. here a little question of interest if the car I took the motor out of is made in JUL 1994 that should make it a 95 right cause I remember if anything was made in the sixth month and above was for the next year. I wanted to make sure I was on the right track as far as looking for the right year (CKP).I know I'm right: don't forget you have two new e-mails from of the diagrams |
| Answer: | Those pictures will make your head spin. From what I can gather the '95, 1.5L engine is nearly identical to the '96 1.5L engine. I did a little more research and here's what I found: The crankshaft position sensor is identical for both year. HOWEVER, it
depends on where that '95 engine was originally purchased: California
or non-Califonia. Here are the locations NON-CA CA ONLY '96 Camshaft PS: '96 Crankshaft PS: As you can tell, the camshaft position sensor should be in the same place,
for both years, regardless of CA issue. The crankshaft for the '96 and
'95 (CA model) were located |
