| Question: | RE: 89 Mitsubishi Mirage
- Changed timing belt ; won't start - no spark from coil or distributor.
Any help appreciated. |
| Answer: | Debbie, If you don't hear your starter motor turning over when you turn your key, you may have a bad connection or ground from your battery to your starter. If your starter is fine, you may have a bad connection from your battery to your ignition coil. You could have a bad coil, distributor, or even a bad ignition power transistor. That car is about 15 years old now and will start to require regular checks and tune-ups... especially if you're nearing 200k miles. Good luck! |
