Subject: Changing headlight bulb on a Mirage
Question: Dear Anthony,
I have a 97 Mitsubishi Mirage (2-door,1.5 engine and automatic). The right headlight needs a new bulb. When I removed the wire connector, there is a rubber cover. How can I remove it in order to get to the bulb please?
Thank you very much for your time and help!
Answer:

Alice,
Typically that rubber cover can just be pulled off. The Mirage lights may also have a small screw that needs to taken out, but I can't remember very well for that model. Since this may be the first time your headlight bulb needs to be changed, it may be on there pretty tight from the factory. Many times your owners manual can instruct you how change it. If you're unable take off that rubber cover, bring your car to the auto parts store where you bought your bulb. Many times they can assist you on installing it for free. I have installed many headlight bulbs, but if I'm able to get someone else to do it for me for free I always let them :)
Good luck!
