Subject: Directionals don't work, hazard lights do
Question:

97 Galant 4cy 2.4ltr auto
My directional don't work, all bulbs are good and fuse is good.
Warning/hazard lights do work when I push the switch. I believe the directional flasher unit and the hazard lights unit are the same, if not maybe thats the problem or maybe I need a new combination switch? Could only find 1 flasher unit and that controls the Warning/Hazard lights
If flasher unit is the same for both Directionals and hazard lights, it looks like I need a combiation switch.

You are correct. The directional lights and the hazard lights are on the same circuit. So if the hazard switch works to activate the lights, then your problem is most likely with the combo switch on the steering column.
