| Subject: | Over heating |
| Question: | Mistubishi Galant 94
i think it is an ES. Well my car once over heated as a friend was driving it and the water pump ws replaced. Now the car is still over heating and the radiator has no leak, the water pump is now but i guess my belts are old too. So is it the belts that could be the problem or the thermostat? |
| Answer: | Faith, Your belts should always be replaced when changing your water pump. You should make sure your oil level is normal and that you're using the correct viscosity. Its also a good idea to replace your thermostat. If its stuck closed, you will defiantely overheat. You should also have your coolent checked for the correct mixture of anti-freeze and water. Good luck! |
