Subject:	wheel bearing for a mitsubishi galant 97
Question:	i have a 97 mitsubishi galant, the front driver wheel bearing is bad i am having trouble finding just a wheel bearing i do not have alot of money to fix it i called around and have only been able to get a whole hub assembly any suggestions.
Answer:	Cathy, Many aftermarket manufactures find it cheaper to produce the entire hub assembly then simply making just the bearing. Many cars have inner and outer front wheel bearings, and its easier to install the whole hub instead of seperating it into 3 parts. You can check online for various places that may carry just the wheel bearing, but I doubt you'll find it for your model of Galant. National parts chains like AutoZone should carry the correct hub for your vehicle. It's probably around $40. Whether you can only find the entire hub or even just the bearing itself, the biggest cost is going to be in labor. Labor costs could exceed $100 for your average mechanic to charge. Good luck!
