Subject: Changing headlight
Question: Can you give me some tips/instructions on changing a headlight on my 1993 Galant? Geez, I feel like an idiot....I usually can handle the simple repairs but, this one has me baffled. Before I start taking things apart, I'd like to know that I am doing the right thing. You can also point me to a place where I could get help. I just hate paying $75 to have a light changed....ridiculous. Thanks
Answer: KC,
You should be able to perform this job in about 10 minutes. Your owner's manual will indicate the correct bulbs needed for your headlights and should briefly describe how to change them. If you need another reference, go to your local auto parts store and ask someone that works there on the best way to change your bulbs. Some major chain auto parts stores (AutoZone, PepBoys, Advanced Auto, etc...) have employees that may even perform the job for you for free.
If prefer not to ask for addition assistance but you still want do the job right, get yourself a service manual for your car. You can usually pick one up for about $15 at the same place you buy your new headlight bulbs.
Good luck!
