Question:	1993 Mitsubishi e head gasket problem. can I tighten down the head and maybe fix the problem for a time?
Answer:	Matt, You didn't really specify what the problem with your head gasket is. Is there coolant leaking past it (white smoke in the exhaust), or oil (blue smoke)? Simply tightening the head will do little more than stopping a leak. In fact, it could even make a leak worse. The head gasket should always be torqued to spec. If the head is already torqued to spec, and there is still a problem, the head gasket should be replaced before a more serious problem occurs. Good luck!
