after a hard rain a few days ago i learned the hard way my soft top leaks. Also, related to this, my car smells like a wet sock now....;p.....is there any way to clean up the interior of my car or do i need to get it professionally cleaned? |
| Answer: | Thomas, Usually leaks develope near the edges of the top, in the front with it matches up with the windshield. Check with your local auto parts store to see if they sell any adhesives to help reattach the canvas if it's pulling away from the frame. If you can detect exactly where the leak is coming from, and it's minor, you may be able to fix this yourself. If you are unable to fix it yourself, Mitsubishi would most likely recommend replacing the top. That will be very expensive; not only for the a new top itself, but installation can take up to 8 hours. If your interior really smells bad, you may need it professionally detailed
(steam cleaned). If you have a carpet shampooer at home, you could clean
the interior yourself. But a professional cleaning would save a lot of
hassle and probably do a better job. |
