| Question: | while hardwiring in a screen
in my boys 95 Eclipse, we were attempting to use the 12v wire that powers
the little light in the cigerate ash tray, and touched the two sides together
shorting it out. Now the back light has gone out behind the gauges (tach
speed etc). the gauges still work but we can't find the fuse for the backlight.
Any help?

| Answer: | Alex, Double check the tail light fuse. When it goes you lose the tail and dash lights. Also check your radio harness. If you have the illumination wire going to the wrong wire it will do that... i know i had it hooked to the wrong wire and no tail lights/dash lights but i switched the wires, and it was a fuse under by the pedals. The illumination wires are the orange wires on the radio harness. Hope that helps. Good luck! |
