Subject: Clunking sound while turning
Question: I have a 94 Eclipse that startted making clunking sounds while turning, whether I'm turning left or right. It sounds like it's coming from both front wheels. Otherwise it drives fine. DO you know what causes this?
Answer: Frank,
Your clunking noise is most likely caused by bad CV-joints. CV-joints typically go bad when their cv-boots allow water and debris to get to the joints. Have your cv-joints inspected and your problem will be found.
Good luck!
