IN EXHAUST GAS FLOW. P1400-DPFE EGR CIRCUIT LOW INPUT. YES I DID CLEAN THE CARBON OUT OF THE INTAKE, WHAT IS THE DPFE EGR CIRCUIT LOW REFERRING TO? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS AS TO HOW TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. 1995 MITS/TURBO 2.0 DOUBOVERHEADCAM AUTO |
| Answer: | James, The DPFE is the 'Differential Pressure Feedback EGR'. The differential pressure feedback EGR sensor measures the flow through the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube and sends a signal to the Transaxle Control Module (TCM). A metering orifice in the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube restricts the flow rate when the EGR valve is open. If that orifice and surrounding area are cleaned out, that should correct your problem. If cleaning this out does not help, you need to have your TCM examined. |
