| Question: | I own a 1993 Mit. Eclipse
with a 2.0L and a auto-trans. with a A/C compressor that does not get
power from the A/C relay. If you jump the harness at the relay the
compressor will cut on and blows cold air. I can't find the right information
in repair manuals from auto-parts stores.I think maybe a pressure switch
or something is not tripping the relay, but my manuals don't tell where
to check for voltage to check everything.I bought the car with a bad
motor, and replaced it with a low milage salvage-yard motor, and the
A/C is the only thing I can't get to work. I would like any information
to help getting my car cool. Thanks, Mark |
| Answer: | Mark, If you have a Haynes or Chiltons manul, but neither of those have information for troubleshooting your A/C, the best thing to do is get a factory service manual. Those are pretty expensive if you try to get one from the dealership, but a quick search on eBay may reveal some for just a few bucks. You can get information on buying a backup factory service manual
CD from this site: That should have all the information you need. |
