I have a 2003 Eclipse GTS Spyder 3.0L Intermittently when you attempt to start the car it will begin to turn over, and then all the power will shut off (similar to a circuit breaker tripping) the radio presets and clock all reset. A couple seconds later the power returns but it is weak (dim lights) for about 60 seconds, then the power comes back 100% and the car will start. Possibly related, the car will lose RPM occasionally when stopping, this began at the same time as the above issue. I have scoured the FSM wiring diagrams and wonder if it has something to do with the anti-theft system. I can't find a system description to learn what exactly it does. Thanks in advance, Jonathan |
| Answer: | Jonathan, I would recommend you have your alternator and battery tested. You may even have poor cable connections from and/or to your battery. Check over the entire charging system to be sure it's in good shape. Good luck! |
