Question:

our daughter's 2004 Mitsubishi spider car alarm goes off on it's own while car is locked to often and the horn doesn't sound right. anything we can fix on own without going to dealer out of town. thanks diana

Answer: Diana,
Factory alarms can be tricky, especially when in a convertible. Most have shock sensors that can be adjusted to be not as sensitive. I'm not sure if this is something you can set yourself. Though you may have luck calling a couple local stereo shops to see if they may be able to service it. Else, you may have to schedule a time with the dealership. If they need to keep it overnight, you can request a loaner car.
Good luck!
