Subject: fuel problem
Question:

i have a 90 mitsubishi eclipse gs 1.8liter automatic traniey.fuel is getting to filter but not to the injectors, replaced fuel pump, filter.

Answer: Ken,
Your problem may be with your fuel injectors, or maybe your fuel pressure has failed. If your fuel pressure regulator fails, it may not knoe to send much (if any fuel) to the injectors. If a fuel injector is failing or is clogged, your pressure may fluctuate. One very simple, but overlooked problem could be with your gas cap. If your gas cap has a bad seal, your pressure will defiantely be low and may even cause your check engine light to come on.
In recent weeks, I've been getting a lot of questions from other Mitsu owners that have cars that are over 10 years old. In most cases, they were having very strange and intermittent problems. I have instructed them to read the following article:

The older your car gets, the more likely problems will arrise due to this issue. Have your car's computer inspected just to be safe.
Good luck!
