| Question: |
Ok, I see the compressor but how does it come out. I have the factory book but that really no help. Does it come out from the top bottom or the side? And do i really need to unsecured the brake reservoir? |
| Answer: | Robert, I don't have much experience with the later Eclipses, but the with the earlier Eclipses, there is no mention of needing to remove the brake reservoir. Though they do instruct to protect the brake tubing from getting hit or crushed. It may even help to raise the engine a bit to give it more clearance. You can do this removing the driver side engine mount and carefully lifting the engine by slow jacking it up from the oil pan. You may need to remove the ignition coil first before you can take out the compressor. When you do get the compressor out, be sure not to tilt it as to prevent the refrigerant oil from spilling out. Good luck! |
