| Subject: | 97 Mit. Eclipse GS...check engine light |
| Question: |
My check engine light came on today so, I came here to browse through the Q & A's. Realized that I had not put my gas cap back on properly, so I fixed that and then disconected the neg. bat. cable to reset and the light is still on. Any other ideas? Not sure if it makes a difference or not but my reverse lights suddenly stopped working also and it's not the bulbs or fuses. Thanks! |
| Answer: | Mel, The backup lights not functioning and the check engine light may be 2 seperate issues. But you should find out what error code your car's computer is throwing. You can find that out your by following the procedure described in the link below: http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=8 Good luck! |
