I found a loose connection to the tranny. It has four wires leading to it. It looks like a solenoid plug and is adjacent to the dip stick. One of the wires is broken. I need a schematic/name of part I need to replace. I had tried removing the part but it was pushed inside the tranny and now I have to drop the pan. Would this be a possible cause of my TCM codes? Do you have the name/schematic of the part? Thanks again, Jeff |
| Answer: | Jeff, You may be referring to the A/T Case Solenoid Valve Harness or the A/T Case Inhibitor. The inhibitor connection is the closest of the two to the dip stick. It's part number is MD734632. Unfortunately, my parts database does not provide a part number for the case solenoid valve harness. But you may even have luck going to the dealership and asking the guys at the parts department what that part may be. They've helped me out with a lot of tricky parts names. Have your VIN ready if you do talk to the parts guys. They can't look up parts without it. And yes, any loose or broken eletrical connections of the A/T system can throw those codes you mentioned. Good luck! |
