| Question: | You talked about letting
in to much outside air, well my car has a flapper that is either outside
or recirc. I will try the flushing of just the heater core. How about letting
some chemical such as vinegar sit in just the heater core over night? Thanks,
again. |
| Answer: | Landon, You can use a cup or so of distilled vinegar to clean out any deposit build up in your heater core. I have even heard of others using rubbing alcohol and even gasoline to clean it out. Gasoline it the most powerful cleaner but its EXTREMELY dangerous. I wouldn't recommend it for this job. The vinegar or rubbing alcohol should do the trick. Be sure to flush out the core with water very thoroughly. Good luck! |
