Subject: Engine won"t start
Question: I just bought a 1993 Eclipse It won"T star. But theirs a smell of gas in the oil. I replaced the plugs ,air filter.

You should have your spark plug wires replaced as well. And if you have the 1.8L Eclipse, replace the distributor as well. If that doesn't help, you may have either a clog in one or more of your intake hoses, or even a faulty fuel pressure regulator. If you have poor compression in your engine, you can have cylinders that will not fire. That will make gas build up in your spark plug well and eventually mix with your engine oil. Since your car is 10 years old now, you probably have 100k miles on it or maybe more. You should consider a full tune-up. Aside from new spark plugs, that can include all new belts, coolant flush, fuel filter replaced, pcv valve reaplaced, thottle body and EGR valve cleaned, and have all your hoses checked.
