Question: i have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse, and the man i bought it from must have applied a peel on purple uv protectant to the two back rear pasenger winodws. i wanted to know how mush it would cost to get them removed. also he took off the "ECLIPSE" lettering ont he rear and wanted to know how much that would also cost to get put back on. thankyou so much
Answer: Jessica,
The cheapest way to remove the uv protectant can probably be taken off by yourself. You'll want to use ammonia and a razor blade. Just be careful not to scratch the glass with the razor blade. If you don't want to remove it yourself, any tint shop can do it for you. All tint shops are different, so I can't really give you price. It probably would not be expensive

As for the lettering, I don't know of any place that sells aftermarket lettering. You can contact your local Mitsubishi dealership to get a price on that. If you really want to try to save a buck, call around to junk yards around you and find out if they have any Eclipses on the lot. Then, you can just go down there and take the old lettering off an existing Eclipse. You can reapply it yourself with super glue.
Good luck!
