1993 eclipse 2.0 standard DOHC i cant hear the fuel pump so i checked it,Ive taken a voltage meter to the fuel pump and the relay and am recieving no reading whatsoever, i also cant locate the fuse to the fuel pump but i found a multiport injection fuse which was blown and i dont know if that has anything to do with why the car wont start i would think that it would although it wouldnt run great-if you can give me any advice i would appreciate it |
| Answer: | David, The multiport fuel injection fuse and the ignition fuse can cause the fuel pump to stop working. In some cases, if your car's computer detects a problem with your fuel pump, it will automatically blow the fuse to stop the engine from running. You can directly connect a 12volt source to your fuel pump to test to see if it's still working properly. If you do not hear the pump when a 12 volt source is directly connected to it, you'll need to replace your fuel pump as well as any blown fuses you have. Good luck! |
