| Answer: | Dave, Check your multiport fuel injector fuse that is located near your positive battery terminal. Also check the electrical connector on the fuel pump itself. The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. You should be able to see your fuel pump connector by removing the floor coverings from your hatchback trunk. The fuse, relay and eletrical connector on the pump are the main direct eletrical connections for your fuel system. It's possible your fuel pump could have failed as well. I would also recommend you check your car's computer. Read this article
for further information: If your ECU is malfunctioning, it can prevent your fuel pump from operating.
Though if you tried start up your fuel pump by directly connecting it
to the battery, and you didn't hear it kick on, than your problem could
very well be a bad fuel pump. Check those items and you should find your
problem. |
