| Question: |
I have a '93 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8, 5 spd manual tran. ANY help is appreciated. |
| Answer: | Zilla, If you did everything by the book, this definitely shouldn't happen. You may want to double check the axles that you purchased. If they were the wrong type, the inner ends may not fit to the spindle (or barely fit), and could have stripped and slipped out under hard acceleration. To be sure of this, you'll unfortunately have to pull the axles from the tranny again and inspect them. From the sound of it, this is what seems to have happened. If these are aftermarket axles, you may want to return them and consider purchasing OEM axles. Good luck! |
