2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder 2.0L, GS, Automatic |
| Answer: | Sandy, The motor assemby is located almost in the trunk. I believe it's on the drivers side, located behind the rear fender, but you would probably need to access it from the trunk. The motor is much smaller than you may think. It's roughly the size of a water bottle. There are so many components used to make your top come down, the list
is too long to mention. It may be the motor, a cable link, a broken pin,
or even just a rusty bolt. You need to have a mechanic check it out. A
dealership mechanic may be your best bet. Now depending on how many miles
you have on your car, this problem may be covered by your existing warranty.
Have a dealership mechanic check it out first. |
