Subject: Door handle
Question: Hi,
I have a 1996 GS eclipse and my drivers side door handle has snapped off and I just ordered a new handle. Can you tell me the easiest way to put my new handle back on.
Thank you

Answer: Bryant,

That all depends if you're talking about the handle on the inside or outside of the car. But either one is not very difficult. If you're going to do the work yourself, get yourself a decent service manual; Haynes or Chiltons are good and only cost about $15. Either one of those manuals will give you the step by step procedure. You shouldn't need that many tools. A phillips head screwdriver and 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm sockets should be all you need. Before you put the handle on, put a little grease (preferrably lithium grease) on any moving mechanism.
Good luck!
