| Subject: | Need timing belt marks |
| Question: |
1995 Eclipse engine 2.0 |
| Answer: | Randy, I'll assume you are referring to the 2.0L, non-turbo engine. There are 3 timing marks you'll to align before removing and/or installing your belt. There is a timing mark on each of the camshaft sprockets, and there is a third on the crankshaft sprocket. The cam sprocket timing marks need to face each other, and the timing mark on the crankshaft sprocket needs to be set to a corresponding mark on the engine block. If you'd like more of a visual reference, you can read over this page: http://vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-2G-NT.html Good luck! |
