1994 DIAMANTE 3.0 DUAL OVERHEAD, AUTOMATIC THANKS! |
| Answer: | Essie, Because the Diamantes uses push-button heat/AC controls instead of dials like many other cars, the buttons can wear there spring locks and cause the different accessories to automatically engage when you hit large bumps. There may be a series of switches that need to be changed. You may even
need your accessories electrical harness replaced. Sometime the harnesses
can become loose and cause such problems. Also, you have relays that are
controlled by the switches inside your car. A relay is just a heavy duty
mecahanical on/off switch. Like all mechanical devices, they can wear
down. These relays should be located in your fuse box, under your hood.
There's no visible way to check to see if they are in good working order,
but they are easily replaceable. You may just need to replace both your
heater relay and A/C compressor relay. |
