| Subject: | 1994 DIAMANTE |
| Question: | I HAVE A 1994 DIAMANTE. CAR WILL NOT START -- NO FIRE TO THE PLUGS. MECHANIC SAYS IT HAS TO DO WITH THE ALARM/SECURITY SYSTEM NOT RESETTING. HAVE TRIED TO RESET, LOCKING & UNLOCKING DRIVER DOOR WITH KEY, BUT NO LUCK. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST? JUST REPLACED FUEL PUMP, AND CAR STARTED UP AND RAN FINE... ONE TIME!! NOW IT WILL NOT START AT ALL. pLEASE HELP!! THANKS |
| Answer: | Mark, Most likely your problem is electrical. Your alarm system may be getting incorrect signals from your car's computer. Read this article for further information: http://www.90gsx.com/eclipse/cap/caps.htm If your ECU is faulty, then many strange things could be occuring; and
it may have nothing to do with your alarm system. Have your ECU inspected
before the mechanics do any more diagnostic work on your. You may need
to have your ECU serviced. |
