Subject: Mitsubishi Diamante 1999 V6 3.5 L
Question: I would like kindly ask you for opinion on Mitsubishi Diamante 1999.
I am thankful for yoyr explanation.
Luby.
Answer: Luby,
The '99 Diamante is an excellent car. For its year, it had one of the most powerful engines in its class and is very reliable. Along with the added horsepower, Mitsubishi added traction control for the first time in their Diamantes for 1999. It was very affordable and rather fun to drive.

Some faults I've found with the '99 Diamante is that its transmission is weak. Mitsubishi has always had minor issues with their transmissions and some have completely failed. Many owners of the Diamante have reported minor problems that plague the car. They report tires going bad, bad brakes, flaking paint, noises exhaust, etc...

But in the car's defense, the kind of owners that buy this car rarely perform normal, regular maintenance. If this car is routinely maintained and serviced per the owner's manual suggestions, the car will run for a long, long time. Simple things like routine oil changes, transmission fluid changes, spark plugs replacement, tire rotation, and so on, will provide the car with a much longer life.
