I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Diamante and I am needing a starter but can't afford a new one from the auto part store and our salvage yards dont have my make of car so I was wondering if there is any other make of cars starter would interchange with mine? |
| Answer: | Delleta, The auto parts stores sell starters that are mostly interchangeable for many different makes and models of vehicles. You'll probably see them for around $170 + core charge. This is less than half the price you'd be charged from the manufacturer. I don't know of all the other Mitsubishis where that specific starter may work. The best would be to call the parts department of a Mitsubishi dealership and ask them to cross reference the part number of the starter with other vehicles. Good luck! |
