| Answer: | Gary, The only book that might be able to help you would be the factory service manual. You can purchase one of those from any Mitsubishi dealership. Once the timing gets off per the timing marks, its not easy to reset. Even if the cam marks may line up, your oil pump sprocket, crank sprocket and even your balance shaft marks can be off. Unfortunately, I really don't have any more information that would really help you. If you can't get ahold of the factory service manual, you may just have to take it to your local dealership to have the timing set. I rarely suggest taking an older car to the dealership, but it may be the best option for your circumstance. Good luck! |
