| Subject: | Orange warning light |
| Question: |
In my Mitsubishi Starwagon '97 there are two "oil can" warning lights on the panel. The red one is i assume for engine oil warning but the other which is orange with what looks like a coil underneath is coming on and off and i do not know what it is for. Can you help me out on this. Also my air-con does not work. What do you think the problem is? |
| Answer: | Leo, I don't think your oil light issue would have anything to do with your A/C not working. The A/C system may have a bad compressor or you are low on refrigerant, which could have resulted from a leak. The red oil light usually refers to poor oil pressure, typically caused
by lack of oil or oil pressure. Make sure you have the proper amount of
oil and that you're using the proper oil weight. I'm not familiar with
what the orange oil light refers to. Your owners manual should help provide
information about what this light means. Else, you can contact your local
Mitsubishi dealership and ask the service department for clarification. |
