| Question: | 95 Exlipse, 2.0L, GS My A/C compressor fell out, don't ask how I don't know. But it broke and fell out of the car. Anyway, now my power steering is not working. Is there a way I could get a new belt, or pully of some sort to correct this problem with out spending the money to get a new a/c compressor? Thanks, Matthew |
| Answer: | Matthew, When your compressor fell out (you gotta tell me that story some time ;-) ), it probably just took that power steering belt with it. The problem is that the A/C belt and P/S belt may share a pulley that is attached, or near a pulley where the alternator is. You may just be able to get away with replacing the power steering belt without any compressor in your car. Just be sure to check for pulley damage before trying to install a power steering new belt. Good luck! |
