| Question: | I have a 97 galant
es, w/at. when I make right turn (only), wheels feel like they are
slipping and vibrating. Do you have any ideas or solutions? Never had
any front end problems before. |
| Answer: | Bill, My guess would be that you have a worn out CV-joint(s). Typically that happens when your outer CV boots leak or break. When the boots break, dirt, water, and grim build up around the CV Joint and wear it away. When the joint wears, you typically start hearing a grinding noise and/or feel vibrations when turning. It's common for CV boots to wear out over time. Usually places that
change your oil will point out a leaking boot before it gets worse.
But if you change your own oil, it's easy to overlook. Have your
CV boots and CV Joint checked out and replaced if necessary. |
