I've never worked on a 3G Eclipse (2000-present), but I do know that Mitsubishi hasn't changed the style on that vehicle much for the past couple years. They probably won't make any major changes until 2005. My best guess is that the 2002 airbags will fit the 2000. BUT THIS IS ONLY A GUESS! You'll want to be 100%, absolutely, positively, certain they will fit, AND be compatible with your electrical system. If you were driving down the road, hit a pothole, and all of a sudden your airbag deploys, you'll definately not be happy.

I would recommend calling a Mitsubishi dealership to make absolutely sure. Caveat emptor! (buyer beware)
